Erica Johnson

Audio Producer, Musician, Artist/Graphic Designer

I am a graduate of the Millersville University Class of 2018. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Business Technology (MBT) and a minor in Entrepreneurship. As the name of my major suggests, my studies focused on three areas of the music industry: theory, technology and music business.

I learned music theory to help train my ear and gain a better understanding of music as a whole. As a Millersville student, I performed in MU's Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Marching Band and Flute Ensemble. My main instruments were Flute, Piccolo and Guitar. I took lessons for each instrument with professors in the Music Department.

My Music Technology courses focused on learning Logic Pro X and Pro Tools. My recording classes provided me with skills to work in the recording studio as a producer or musician.

All of the business courses for my major and minor focused on artist management, marketing (including social media marketing) and branding yourself as a musician or entrepreneur.

I am a hardworking, driven individual who is passionate about my projects. I strive to get my work done effectively and efficiently. I am currently working in audio and social media marketing. When I'm not working, I enjoy traditional pencil or digital art, painting and other artsy crafts. I enjoy listening to video game soundtracks, classic rock, and Broadway soundtracks such as Hamilton and Beetlejuice.
